Recording
My rate for recording is $70 an hour, with a reduced rate of $650 for a ten-hour session. This rate includes the fee for the use of the studio. Included is a rough mixdown of your session for reference and stems for you or your chosen mix engineer.
Currently I am recording out of Hyde Street Studios.
Engineer Assistance
I have experience assisting engineers at four Bay Area recording studios with microphone setup and placement, routing, record-keeping, patching, and striking as well as answering client questions and anticipating their needs to make sure sessions run smoothly. I also have assisted live sound engineers at street fairs and venues with planning, stagehand services, microphone setup, troubleshooting, and mixing. Talk to me about your session or event!
Music Editing and Mixing
$100 per song including two revisions
Included with your mix are two revisions – listen to what I’ve done and let me know what you think. Additional changes after your first two revisions start at $50, depending on complexity.
Audiobook & Podcast Editing/Mixing
$75 per finished hour including one revision. Included with your mix is one revision.
Live Event Sound & Recording
Live sound engineer services and equipment rental for your event are available through Dana Jae Audio Collective, which I co-founded with two colleagues. We have provided sound for events ranging from local political debates to film festivals to street fair main stages. We have also provided live recording services for live podcasts and audition reels.
